Fire Detection

FM200 Fire Suppression Systems - The combined fire detection and extinguishing system would automatically extinguish any fire in the data or communications room without any damage or interruption of the hosted systems.

Cooling

N+1 Computer Room Air Conditioning (CRAC) System - Providing redundant environmental control, coupled with APC's environment monitoring suite to alert support teams in the unlikely event of a temperature or humidity change or hardware failure.
Cold Isle Containment - This containment prevents hot air recirculating ensuring air conditioning systems operates as efficiently and environmentally friendly as possible.

Rockford use a leading server centre management company to maintain and service the data centre facilities, including CRAC (Computer Room Air Conditioning), UPS and Generator Systems. The service provides 24/7/365 4 hour response time for any component of the facility. 24 Hour Technical Support - Rockford IT has an onsite support team available from 0730-1930, and also provide a 24/7 support service should any problems occur outside of these hours. All key support and systems personnel are within 15 minutes of the data centre and network operations centre.
Collocation facility located in a central location in Telford (Shropshire), Midlands, just of the M54 motorway and 5 minutes from the train station.
Rack / Cabinet space available by U rather than cabinet, giving customers more flexibility, with a choice of either a dedicated private server or shared server.

Power

Backup Generator and APC UPS Redundant Power System - Rockford's efficient UPS system ensures that should the grid power to the building fail, clean power delivery is maintained to the data centre until the generator takes over.
Twin power supplies - Each rack cabinet in computer room 1 is supplied with two 16A (Amp) (3.7kW) feeds with a monitored PDU (Power Distribution Unit) from separate supplies, in computer room 2 these supplies are twin 32A (7.4KW).

Security

24 Hour Security - Rockford's ISO 27001 data facility is protected by 24/7 manned security, CCTV and monitored intruder alarms throughout the facility and building. The data centre has a secure access system which provides entry only with an RFID card combined with a pin code into the data centre and all visitors have escorted access 24/7. When they are not accessed, all racks and servers are locked.
ISO/IEC 27001:2005 certified data and network operations centre.
Hosting facility supports the PCI DSS Compliancy requirement for e-commerce businesses.
