For companies needing a more enterprise level messaging solution with sharing functionability, Rockford recommends the Microsoft Hosted Exchange service. Hosted Microsoft Exchange

For businesses requiring more than a basic email messaging system, Rockford offers Microsoft Hosted Exchange. Small to large companies can benefit from the Enterprise level messaging solution without the high costs and complex set up.

Microsoft Hosted Exchange provides feature rich, secure email services with worldwide accessibility, allowing customers to share calendars, contacts and task lists in real time. This service is based on a monthly subscription rather than a capital expenditure and ongoing maintenance. All backup, support and maintenance services are provided by Rockford’s support desk.

Customers are provided with a copy of Microsoft Outlook that connects to the service over any Internet connection using RPC over HTTPS for a secure connection. There is also a web interface into mailboxes providing a real time connection to email, calendars, contacts and tasks as well as the company’s public folders.
Customers can additionally connect using their Microsoft Windows Mobile PDA device to receive email, calendars, and tasks in real time anywhere in the world where there is mobile coverage.

POP3/SMTP Email Hosting Service

Rockford’s basic hosted email service, POP3/SMTP, allows clients to access their email accounts anywhere in the world via a web interface, or download the email with a POP3 client. However as this service was initially designed for consumers rather than businesses, it is extremely limited, and so would only be recommended for companies needing only a basic email solution.
