ISO 27001 Certification
Previously BS7799, this newly updated international information security standard is intended to help establish and maintain an effective information management system, using a continual improvement approach. It implements OECD (Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development) principles, governing security of information and network systems.
Rockford's ISO 27001:2005 certification means that:
- Rockford IT has met the demands of the International Organization for Standardisation and by doing so ensures that Rockford is continually recognised as a leader in security & resilience.
- Rockford IT demonstrates its active compliance with the requirements of its regulators.
- Rockford IT has a distinctive differentiation in the IT industry when it comes to protecting its clients networks and data.
This standard works well within Rockford IT’s services; from its server hosting facilities to Internet service providing to desktop and server support function, and is one of the steps Rockford IT has taken to ensuring an extremely secure service for its customers, in addition to its two-factor authentication, encrypted services and supporting the PCI (Payment Card Industry) standard.
Certified in April 2008, Rockford IT’s Managing Director, Tom Sykes, is delighted by this achievement. He states;
This accreditation helps keep us on track with the fundamental security procedures that should be adhered to in our area of business. This ensures that we are offering our customers the ultimate security and peace of mind that is so vital in their business.![]()

The whole Rockford IT team have worked hard to gain this status, and we are very proud of our achievements to date.
